— The Challenge
Challenge & Solution
Inspired by Rock’n’Roll, Soul and Motown and the style of Art Deco, Roy Lichtenstein and OG Superhero’s, the brief was to try to incorporate these styles together while also representing Magenta as a singer in her own right.
The process started with design research and creating a mood board on Pinterest to share with Magenta and letting her pin her inspiration for the logo. From here I started on some hand drawn illustrations, sharing them with Magenta to see which was her favourite direction. From here I digitised the logo and created multiple iterations for her to be able to in different places; album artwork, posters, online and such.
