Genie’s bakery Logo Design
Genie’s Hole in the Wall is a home based bakery style kitchen baking pies, sausage rolls and scrolls born in the 2021 Melbourne lockdowns. Originally starting as a delivery only service in a small kitchen the brief was to design a logo that represented the rustic nature of the food whilst also being quirky and inviting.

Challenge & Solution
This idea and brand has been a dream of Gen’s for a long time. So being your own client sometimes (or most of the time) is not always the easiest thing. Part of the challenge was to create a clear vision before briefing and starting the design.
We started out by completing design and competitor research. From here we put together a mood board and started on some basic illustrations to nut out the direction for the logo. Having found this we trawled the net for a typeface and some iconography to start putting together the final logo. Once these had been found we used these to digitise the initial hand drawn logos.
