Challenge & Solution
We were approached by a friend’s family member to design her wedding invitations and save the dates. With their wedding being in a tropical location in spring/summer they wanted an invitation that emulated these themes.
Another project where I can have a little more fun (away from the corporate world), I started with having a chat with the bride and groom to see what their direction and wants were for the invites. I then created a Pinterest board for the couple and me to share inspiration and create a mood board. I started with the save the dates, as they needed them to be sent out first. These were to be based on a baggage tag as they are having a destination wedding.
Once the save the dates were finalised, I moved onto the wedding invitations. With these, I took inspiration from the wedding location by creating a simple, light design featuring floral arrangments and cursive typography.
